What inspired you to get into healthcare?

I became a doctor because I wanted to help provide care to people when they need it the most and because medicine is truly fascinating. The human body is an incredible thing. I believe in promoting patient autonomy and educating patients so they can make informed medical choices for themselves.

What do you like to do in your downtime?

I enjoy spending time with my husband John and our five children when not at work. I also enjoy running, hiking, gardening, quilting, and baking.

What do you enjoy most about being a primary care provider at Pender Community Hospital & Medical Clinics?

It’s a pleasure to be part of the staff here at Pender Community Hospital and Medical Clinics. We have top-notch facilities and our staff and providers are friendly and welcoming. I love the small-town atmosphere and the wide variety of procedures and specialists that we have available for our patients. My passions include women’s health, obstetrics, and pediatric medicine.
