What inspired you to get into healthcare?

My love for the health and life sciences is what initially inspired me to get into healthcare. After years of school and working as a nursing aide, the desire to help others also pushed me to become a physician assistant. Healthcare is the perfect field for someone like myself who is able to do both: help others in need and expand my knowledge in the ever-changing field of medicine.

What do you like to do in your downtime?

In my downtime I enjoy being with family and friends as well as being outdoors as much as possible through camping and hiking. I also enjoy cooking, reading, watching movies, bike rides and going on walks with my dog.

Why did you choose to practice at PCH?

Growing up in Pender and being close to family made it an easy decision to return. The community of Pender and other surrounding towns are extremely supportive and it's nice to be able to give back and provide care to those in need. It's rewarding being able to care for patients in all stages of life from pediatric, adolescence, adulthood, and geriatric.
